When Grace Reaches Through Us

2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV) – “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.”  

Have you ever stopped and asked, “Why did God leave me here after saving me?”

The answer is found in 2 Corinthians 5. God did not only save us so we could enjoy His grace for ourselves. He also saved us so His grace could reach others through us.

Paul says that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life is gone, and a new life has begun. That means salvation is not just about forgiveness. It is also about transformation. God gives us a new heart, a new direction, and a new purpose.  

But Paul does not stop there. He says that God has given us the ministry of reconciliation. In other words, the God who brought us back to Himself now sends us to point others to Him. We are Christ’s ambassadors. That means we represent Jesus in this world—through our words, our actions, our attitude, and our daily life.  

This is both a privilege and a responsibility.

We do not save people—only Jesus can do that. But God chooses to make His appeal through us. He uses ordinary believers to carry an extraordinary message: sinners can be forgiven, hearts can be restored, and people can be reconciled to God through Christ.

So today, do not think your life is too small to matter. If you belong to Jesus, then He can use your voice, your kindness, your testimony, and your everyday obedience to reach someone else.

You are not only rescued by grace—you are also called to share that grace.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for making me a new creation in Christ. Thank You for reconciling me to Yourself through Jesus. Help me live as Your ambassador today. Use my life, my words, and my actions to point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
