Compelled by Love

2 Corinthians 5:14 (NASB95) – “For the love of Christ compels us…”

When love is real, it moves us. That’s the heart of missions—not guilt, not pressure, but the overwhelming love of Christ. God didn’t just feel love for the world. He acted. He gave His Son.

John 3:16 tells us that God gave because He loved. Romans 5:8 reminds us that God loved even when we did not deserve it. This love is agape—selfless, sacrificial, unconditional. And if God loved like that, then we’re called to love like that too.

We can serve with love right where we are. Every act of kindness, every prayer for the lost, every dollar given, every step taken for missions—it matters. Whether you’re sent or you send, you are part of God’s redemptive story.

Maybe you’ve wondered: “What difference can I make?” The answer is simple—if it’s done in love, it always matters. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Even the smallest acts become sacred when done in love.

The world is hurting. But the fields are white for harvest. God is at work—even in hard places. He’s inviting us to pray, go, give, and serve with His love.

Who is God calling you to serve with love today? Maybe it’s a neighbour, a co-worker, or someone hurting in silence. Look around—and let love move you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me even when I did not deserve it. Fill my heart with Your love for the lost and broken. Show me where and how to serve. Let my words, prayers, and actions reflect Your heart. Use me today to make Your love known. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
